More specifically: I have had a lot of experience in a lot of areas. I never went to college, but I have had a wide variety of jobs. I at one time or another had my P/C insurance license, Cosmetology license, and my CLC (Certified Lactation Counselor). I used to be a project coordinator for a printing company, a job I loved and excelled at. Currently, I do hold my CLC. Breastfeeding support and education is my passion. I am also interested in teaching women how to make their lives easier and their babies happier by babywearing. I enjoy sewing, and I have made many many slings of different types. I am active in my church choir and do solos every quarter. I like to read, fiction mostly. Topics that interest me I am more likely to research on the web as opposed to reading a book about it.
Prior to moving to TN, I worked in my dream job as a breastfeeding peer counselor for WIC. I didn’t make a lot, but it was perfect for me because not only was it my passion, it allowed me to work from home on my own time. You just don’t get any better then that!
We are rich in many other ways other then financial. We have a loving marriage and family. My children get to be with their dad every single day. We struggle, but looking around, we have more then some others. The kids have toys and clothes and food. We have a nice bit of land and a decent home to live in. We are raising our children ourselves in the manner that we see fit. So in the grand scheme of things, it’s all good.
